Shop Counter Sales

19 October 2020

The shop has now closed for the winter.
A big thankyou to the many new and old customers who have supported the shop and other local businesses this year. We have all seen a significant increase in business at the expense of supermarkets who probably haven't even noticed! You have made a significant difference to the sustainability of all these businesses - Please keep it up.

The shop may be closed but the following are all still available. Please ring and arrange a convenient time to come and collect.

Rapeseed Oil, Jams and Honey - Jars and Comb.
Blackcurrants & Redcurrants in 500g bags
Damsons & Kea Plums in 2kg bags

We now stock Cornish Rape Seed Oil, cold pressed on the farm where it is grown, near Newquay. for more details.

Payments - Cash, Card or Cheques.
If you have a banking app on your phone I will give you the relevant details to set up a direct payment while in the shop. Works well for many customers.

If you have changed your e-mail address, don't forget to let us know so we can update our mailing list.

If you have a collection of clean supermarket carrier bags and don't know what to do with them, please bring them to us and we will re-use them for you. Egg boxes too.

We are attempting to reduce the number of plastic bags we use in the shop. There are some items which need to be bagged, and we will continue to do so. Re-using supermarket bags does help, but is not the real answer. Please try to remember to bring a basket, cardboard box or re-useable bag with you.

Pick Your Own

The only crops we now grow for PYO are Gooseberries, Redcurrants and Blackcurrants.

All are finished for this year.

Please bring your own containers - Get them weighed in the shop before picking!

Too hot to pick during the day - Evening Picking Monday - Friday by appointment.

Want to make jam, but don't have the time when the fruit is all ready? Pick your fruit in season and freeze it till you have more time later in the year. Lots of other uses for frozen fruit too - Stewed mixed fruits for crumbles, pies, on breakfast cereal, ice cream, fruit smoothies......... Ask in the shop if you need more ideas.

Join our e-mail list and we will keep you up to date with the crops and any special offers we may have.
